Brimpton is one of the best little airstrips in Southern England.  David Ogilvy, OBE once paid us a visit.  He  walked to the middle of the runway and said, "Now this is how a rural airstrip should be!"   We were pleased of course - but it's true, Brimpton is a delightful place, with some interesting aircraft - and we welcome visitors. (PPR by phone - see Airfield link).   If your piloting skills can handle a 535 metre grass strip - come and see us.  The landing fee is only £5 for singles!

What's at Brimpton?
Brimpton Flying Club, has about 50 members and about ten aircraft at the strip.  We have a pleasant clubroom with simple cooking facilities, hot water, toilets, a covered veranda with picnic tables, and barbecue.   We have several interesting aircraft - two ex-RAF Percival Piston Provost T1's that the strip operator Alan House has rebuilt to full flying condition over the years, and a 1950's SAAB 91D Safir from the Swedish Air Force - also rebuilt by Alan.

Brimpton is an easy strip to get into, but we're close the to the Atomic Weapons Establishment Restricted Area R101, so check the Airfield page for approach & landing information and PPR by phone before you set out.
