Winter talks at the Old Mill, Aldermaston

First is Martin Robinson, CE of AOPA, on Monday, 6th Feb.

It was Martin’s predecessor, David Ogilvie, who described Brimpton as “just what a rural airstrip should be” and went on, arguably, to save us from being dug up for gravel at Lafarge’s first attempt. Just shows what AOPA can do and in the current assault on GA from EASA, we need all the help we can get. Cost will be £14 and the meal will be Bangers and Mash, with a sweet course to follow. Numbers as soon as possible please, but last bookings by 1st of Feb.  There should be plenty of capacity in the Old Mill, so do feel free to invite pilots from other airfields who may be interested.

Next will be Irv Lee on 5th March, talking about the Olympic Exclusion Zone, which is almost on our doorstep. Similar arrangements and costs as for Martin Robinson’s talk, except for a change in the menu.

This is an important topic for anyone who flies in our area, so again, please feel free to invite friends from other airfields.

Speaker for 2nd April has yet to be confirmed.

Happy flying in 2012
