Come along to one of the country's most delightful, rural airfield fly-ins & join in the fun! All welcome by road or air!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR INBOUND AIRCRAFT ON THE FLY-IN DAYS:

Due to the busy nature of the fly-in days we may need to give inbound aircraft some guidance on joining safely or holding if there is a display in progress. Therefore, please contact Brimpton Radio on 135.125 when you are about 10 miles away.

We will of course keep any delays to an absolute minimum and welcome you to the airfield as promptly as we can.

Please note that non-radio aircraft can only be accepted outside the display hours. Please call us (numbers on the contacts page) to confirm your arrival time if you are non-radio.

For additional information about the timetable and arrival and departure information for Sunday 21st June please scroll down.

The airfield will be open to fly-in movements until 13.55 and from 15.45 BST. There will be one slot for late arrivals. During displays, arriving aircraft will be asked to hold either near the M4 or over Greenham Common.

PLEASE familiarise yourself with the airfield and approach procedures - in particular the R101 restricted zone to the south before setting off. Whilst we want to welcome all visitors with open arms, it is absolutely essential that we maintain our agreement with the Atomic Weapons Establishment to the south of the airfield - there must be NO FLIGHT south of the runway centreline below altitude 2400ft. This means NO DEADSIDE JOINS! Further information is available HERE. If in any doubt, just ask us on 135.125 and we'll be very glad to assist.

Please plan to arrive in good time as landings cannot be accepted during or just before a display and 35 minutes is an incredibly long time to be holding.

The Display timetable is as follows:

13.55 – 14.00 Aircraft parking area to be clear of persons.

14.00 – 14.30 Tiger Club displays.

14.30 – 14.45 Late arrivals. Departures may be possible if pre-booked.

14.45 – 15.00 Model displays.

15.00 – 15.35 Yak, Provost displays

15.35 – 15.45 Model displays.

Unfortunately during manned aircraft displays the CAA regulations prohibit anyone, including club members and arriving crews and passengers, from being in the aircraft parking area. Crews and passengers will be able to join their aircraft after the Provost display finishes. Subject to events, the first departure will be at 15.45 BST.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the proximity of the public enclosure to the runway and display regulations, run-and-breaks or intentional go-arounds are NOT permitted under 500 feet above the runway at any time.
